JD Vance is Wrong — And Here’s Why

Before going any further, allow me to clarify a few things:

📌 This is an opinion piece, but it is based on verifiable facts, facts that go beyond TikTok, Twitter or Facebook headlines.
📌 It is the absolute right of American voters to elect the president and vice president they believe in. That is democracy.
📌 But democracy is built on truth. And when truth is distorted, it becomes propaganda or, at best, disinformation.

What some current U.S. leaders are doing, however, goes far beyond propaganda.

📌 It is a blatant disregard for allies.
📌 It is a betrayal of fundamental democratic values.
📌 It is, at worst, the tacit support of a dictator who has destroyed a nation and the lives of millions.
📌 And above all, it is an alarming ignorance of European history, history that directly shaped America’s global role. The United States did not enter two world wars by accident. It stepped in because Europe’s crises have always had global consequences. It stepped in because stability in Europe is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

And yet, here we are, in a time when U.S. leaders should be more engaged than ever in transatlantic affairs, but instead, some seem content with rewriting…
